The Colonial
The Colonial offers golfers of all skill levels the opportunity to play on its traditional course. It has 18 holes with a par 72. The Colonial has a natural setting with hardwood forests and tidal marshes. Golf Digest says it is one of the top 10 public courses in Virginia.

Ford’s Colony Country Club
The Ford’s Colony Country Club has three courses for a total of 54 holes of championship golf. Dan Maples designed all the courses, which have rolling hills, wooded areas, and water hazards. The Blue Heron Course measures 6,873 yards with a par 72, while the Marsh Hawk Course has a par 72 on 6,715 yards. The Blackheath Course measures 6,521 yards with a par 71. These courses are ranked as some of the top courses in Virginia.

Golden Horseshoe Golf Courses
The Golden Horseshoe Golf Courses are two courses located on South England Street in Williamsburg’s historic district. Robert Trent Jones designed Golden Horseshoe’s Gold Course. He considers the course to be his finest design. The Gold Course has 18 holes with a par 71. It is located on 125 acres of rolling fairways with wooded areas and a five-acre lake. The course also has water hazards on seven of its holes and measures 6,817 yards. The Green Course has 18-holes with a par 72 and measures 7,120 yards from its championship tees.

Kingsmill Resort
Kingsmill Resort has three 18-hole championship golf courses. Arnold Palmer designed the Plantation Course. It has a par 72 and is great for iron play and putting. The River Course is the home of the Professional Golfers’ Association Michelob Championship. Pete Dye designed this par-71 course. It has ravines, elevated greens, and water hazards. The Woods Course is one of the most challenging in Williamsburg. It has multitiered greens and fairways. Curtis Strange and Tom Clark designed this par-72 course.

Kiskiack Golf Club
The Kiskiack Golf Club has an 18-hole, par-72 course that is set along a natural bluff. Players need to have accurate shots to make it from the tee to the green on many of this course’s holes. The front nine holes are more challenging than the back nine holes. John LaFoy and Vinny Giles designed this course, which measures 6,775 yards.

Williamsburg National Golf Club
Golf Digest awarded the Williamsburg National Golf Club 3 ½ stars and named it one of the top 10 places to play in Virginia. This course is so popular that it’s recommended that you reserve a tee time at least 100 days in advance. The course is set in a forest of maple, oak, and cedar trees. Its fairways are tight and tree-lined with bunkers and doglegs. Williamsburg National Golf Club has 18 holes with a par 72. It measures 6,953 yards.
